Apple Keynote

I spent too much time last night watching and chatting about Steve's keynote at WWDC. Of course I updated Safari and iChat AV straight away. Perhaps tonight I can at least try out talking to someone via iChat. I don't have a camera as yet. This sort of stuff isn't actually new is it - but an interesting addition nonetheless. Why hasn't this sort of video conferencing become popular by now? According to Steve, it has to do with the fact that the bandwidth is only now becoming available. I'm not sure about that. As soon as you can see or speak to someone the communication is on a different level and becomes more "intruding".
