Leaky Marketing
There have been a few leaks concerning Apple's WWDC which starts tomorrow. Leaking information about a product or happening beforehand is a form of marketing that pays getting into. Forget to leak and you may find your announcement goes unnoticed by the community at large. Using a "leak" allows you to raise the hype before the actual event and you can be sure that people who see the leaks will be following your every step towards the actual release date. Just make sure it doesn't become too obvious.
