Pottermania takes online book stores by storm

According to reports circulating the Net, the new Harry Potter book is making online book stores jump through some new hoops. To date nearly 800.000 copies of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have been sold through Amazon.com (check out their Harry Potter Meter). Even more interesting - maybe - is the fact that Heise reports that 80.000 copies of the English version have been ordered through the German Amazon.de. The German version is scheduled for November.

I bought my copy through Amazon.com, I pre-ordered back in February actually. Free shipping and it got to my house on the 21st, which was the first day it was available in stores. I love Amazon.com.
