Warp speed, Mr. Zulu

I risked it. Following these instructions I downgraded my Airport software to 3.3. And the signal strength is back up where it was before. Yippee. Note that I don't have an Apple Wireless BaseStation - so the problems also affect just the client side (i.e. my Powerbook).

Update: Apple releases 3.4.1 just minutes after I downgrade.

Despite all the reports my signal strength stayed up at the usual rate, knock knock. The only thing I'm experiencing is that I can't get my PowerBook to (re-)connect to the BaseStation after it is woken up from sleep. Well, so much for the 0-day updates ;(

By the way, thanks for the link, Matthew.

Update: just saw the Apple AirPort 3.4.1 Update flying by on VersionTracker... good luck!

I just installed 3.4.1 and signal strength seems to be as high as was before. Sometimes being lazy pays off ;-).
