TomTom no love Mac OS X 10.4.9
Due to my increased traveling, I decided to replace my aging TomTom 300 with a new 710. Unfortunately Mac OS X 10.4.9 refuses to mount the device making it difficult to backup or update the software. I'm not alone with the problem and so far the only workaround seems to be to connect the TomTom via a USB 1.1 hub. On a side note, I bought the new one for the additional TMC support, however that doesn't seem to work too well either.

Why did you buy that Crapo in the first place?
Bring it back and get the Garmin - TMC works fine there. I just recently had a guy in the shop explain to me why the TomToms TMC doesn't work. Garmin TMC works really really well...
