Lazy Web - Packard Bell iStart C5100 won't boot

Before I pack the thing up and take it back to my local store:

I bought a Packard Bell iStart C5100 a couple of days ago for my son. It worked perfectly for exactly 2 days and now it has decided not to boot anymore. Or more exactly: It will power on for a second and then switch itself off. Pull the mains plug - wait a moment - plug back in and it powers on for a second before... (you get the idea). I've checked the mains cable, wall socket etc.
I actually managed to get it to boot again last night. But then after powering down it again refused to start.
The only addition to the system was a WiFi card that has been in since I first installed the system. I'll take it out later to see if that helps.

Any other ideas out there?
